Ruiz, Miriam

Greetings Frankford students and families!

 

My name is Dr. Miriam Ruiz and I am thrilled to be your child's Counselor! I have been an educator for 27 years in many different capacities, from levels K-12, and at the university/college level. I have taught Spanish, Coached Varsity Soccer, Volleyball, Track and Field, swimming, gymnastics, and have worked in Special Education, Counseling, and School Administration. The most significant reason I remain in education is the firsthand experience of how educators can impact the lives of the leaders of tomorrow. 

 

I am extremely excited to be a counselor for such a wonderful group of students. During my leisure time, I enjoy Alpine skiing, playing tennis, golf, soccer, and sports in general. I also love listening to music, dancing, cooking/baking, reading, home improvement projects, and spending time with friends and my beautiful daughter--who is also a PISD student!
